Current Role

Business Development & M&A at ADM

Anubhav Mittal currently serves as VP and Global Head of Business Development & M&A at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), one of the world's largest agricultural processors and food ingredient providers. In this role, he leads ADM's global agenda across acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and selected capital investments. He also leads enterprise capital allocation and investment governance, helping prioritize growth, productivity, and strategic investment initiatives through rigorous business cases and structured review processes.

Over the course of his career, Anubhav has led or helped execute approximately $10 billion of transactions and strategic investments. His deal experience spans end-to-end opportunity assessment, valuation, diligence, structuring, negotiation, signing, closing, and value capture — across acquisitions, partnerships, carve-outs, IPO readiness, and large-scale investment governance. His work on M&A value creation reflects a conviction that the real discipline lies not just in closing transactions, but in capturing and sustaining the value they are meant to unlock. You can connect with him via his LinkedIn profile.

Finance Leadership

CFO, ADM Nutrition — $8B Global Business

Before returning to corporate development, Anubhav served as Chief Financial Officer of ADM's Nutrition Business Unit — an approximately $8 billion global enterprise serving both B2B and B2C markets with more than 14,000 employees. In that role, he led commercial finance, operations finance, FP&A, controlling, strategy, and M&A across a complex global organization. He helped improve ROIC, expanded margins, and led working capital reduction and optimization initiatives that strengthened cash generation and business performance.

He also partnered closely with investor relations, controllership, and external reporting teams on earnings support, segment messaging, and governance improvements. This combination of operational finance depth and strategic judgment — explored further in his writing on capital allocation in complex organizations — defines his approach to enterprise financial leadership. He shares professional perspectives and insights on his Medium archive.

Earlier ADM Roles

VP Finance, Global Pet Solutions — Growth & Transformation

Anubhav served as VP Finance (CFO) for ADM's Global Pet Solutions platform, where he helped guide business strategy and performance during a period of strong growth — supporting a business that scaled at approximately 20% CAGR. He led restructuring and turnaround initiatives that improved operating efficiency, and also led carve-out and IPO-readiness work for an ADM business segment, including standalone financials, governance, operating model design, and capital structure evaluation.

This hands-on experience across growth, restructuring, and portfolio transitions — the kind of work Anubhav discusses in his writing on how finance leaders drive transformation — gave him a distinctive perspective on the intersection of operational detail and enterprise-level strategy. His professional profile is also available on Muckrack.

Prior Experience

Kellogg Company & Booz & Company

Prior to ADM, Anubhav held senior roles at Kellogg Company, including VP Finance for Kellogg North America and Senior Director / Director of Corporate Development & Strategy. He worked on growth strategy, portfolio initiatives, restructuring, and global investment opportunities — including managing a major global restructuring program across functions. His work covered North American finance and strategy focused on growth, turnaround, portfolio choices, and resource allocation.

Earlier in his career, Anubhav was at Booz & Company (now Strategy&), where he advised clients on corporate strategy, go-to-market transformation, post-merger integration, and operational improvement across industries. This consulting foundation sharpened his capacity for structured thinking and cross-industry pattern recognition — skills he has carried throughout his corporate career. He shares additional career insights and perspective on his Substack.
